Mountain States Fishing television series first aired in 1997. Back in those days, Terry was fishing, editing and producing the show. He would be filming one day, editing the next and usually running to the TV station the next morning to get the show on the air for the 9 AM deadline Saturday morning.
All of us who have been involved in Mountain States Fishing want to thank all of our loyal viewers. You are what kept us going. You told us what you liked, what you wanted to see and we hope over the many of years, have given you a fishing show that you could relate to. Terry’s philosophy always was about the fishing, and teaching ways to fish and places that you can go and not about watching him catch fish. The show was based on fishing opportunities that were within a day’s drive of Denver, CO. We geared the show on the concept that you could watch a show, and that you could go to that place or somewhere similar and catch fish just like we did.
Making our decision to discontinue airing Mountain States Fishing was not an easy decision for us. Our thoughts were that we had beaten the local waters to death and felt it was time for young, new blood to take over the local waters. It was also time to cut back: filming and producing 26 new TV shows and 52 radio shows a year, was just too much. It was our choice to cut back and focus more on the radio show and our new destination television show Angling Adventures. We will continue to try to incorporate as many “local” destinations as we can in the upcoming years.

Karen has produced over 200 broadcast outdoor programs, and is recognized nationally as a top outdoor videographer. She has also produced promotional videos and commercials for some of the biggest names in the outdoor world.
Karen is also an accomplished angler who has fished from the arctic to the equator and has many master angler awards. She quite often finds herself in front of the camera bring a women’s perspective to fishing and developing a following with our female audience.
